woo-hoo~

November 27, 2007 at 3:51 pm (Uncategorized)

toda started out to be one of the most nerve wrecking day of my life!! i thought i was going for an interview for a teaching post. so i woke up surprisingly calm but slowly feelings of anxiety were bubbling. i kept distracting myself by reading and taking a long shower before B had to pick me up. i have no idea why i was more nervous this time around. antah eh.. i couldn’t even eat but with B urging me, i managed to eat Singapore Chicken Rice. :D nyaman.. anyways, on the way there, the bubbles of wnxiety had not only burst, it was freakin’ overflowing. i didn’t know who else was called in for this interview. the entire time, B was all “calm down, sayang. exactly why are you nervous? (i still can’t quite figure out why  ) you’re gonna be fine. you’re not gonna screw up this interview. (he soo knows what i was thinking. haha.)”

pokoknya, i was very extremely nervous.

however, as soon as i saw a familiar face it was like, ” ok, B. Bye! thanks for dropping me off. call you when i’m done.” *slams car door without looking back*

hehehehehehe.. yes, i know. lucky *big, fat bright smile*

so anyways, as it turns out, it was not an interview. it was a briefing for this relief teaching post. i had already been interviewed for it. and yes, i got the job!! yea! Alhamdulillah!! happy! finally,a job!! money!! :D :D :D :D

i am definately grateful and bersyukur that i got this job but

…… watch this space for my complaints of not having enough time off  i joke, i joke..

hehehehehe.. happy.. :D

families should stick together

November 26, 2007 at 10:36 am (family)

you can’t choose your family. you can’t help to whom you were born to. there’s nothing you can do about it but acceptance.

accept who they are, no matter how frustrating.

love them, no matter how hard they push you away.

because at the end of the day, they are the ones who will be there for you. they are the ones love you eventough you annoy them from here and beyond (like borrowing their stuff without their consent :D ) and demand you spend time with them after a week of wallowing in your room (bossily, i might add).

because in their own sick, twisted way, they love you.

P.S: …..

November 16, 2007 at 3:53 pm (random, sad, things to ponder)

:D just found out. P.S. i love you is now a movie!!

 psiloveu-book.jpg

Hilary Swank is the main character.. huh. not sure how i feel about that. because :

  1. the book has an irish/english feel to it. and well, the movie is american.. (i love the book as it is..) :p
  2. most of the book-turned-movie movies are crap. take the Da Vinci code. that was 3 hours of my life i’ll never get back.

speaking of book-turned-movie movies, is it just me? or are most of ‘em crap? they’re such huge disappointments that i had given up hope on anticipating any good new ones. *hmph* oh, harry potter is an exception. then again, i actually saw the movie first then i saw the movie. hehehhe.. yes, i think i’m the only person on earth who has never heard of the book before the movie.

anyways, digressing from the original topic.. :) P.S. i love you is a book written by Cecelia Ahern. i remember that first time i heard of it. it was from fizah. she pajal-ed me to read a book. i wasn’t to keen on reading about a widower. i mean, someone who was loved died. how was that good reading material? (i was young and naive  ) fizah rated the book 9 (or was it 10?) our taste are not quite the same but i decided to give it a try anyway. :D

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT!!

ok, without trying to spoil the book for those who haven’t read it, the book is about a dead husband helping his wife to move on without him. at the end of each letter he wrote ‘P.S. i love you’ . isn’t that the sweetest/morbid thing you’ve ever heard?? *siiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggghhhhh* in fact, there was actually a part in the book where i was so touched that i had to put the book down and sob. SOB!! :( i mean, i’ve felt characters’ emotions before but never to this extent. fact: i sobbed reading a book.

im still debating. i mean, if get my hopes up, theres a big chance the movie will suck. (that always happens) but then again, the movie’s trailer looks good.. (Gerard Butler is the dead husband!!!! *gasp*) click here to check it out urselves.. :D

psiloveu-movie.jpg the poster is nice,tho.. hehehe..

u know wat? i think i’m gna make myself cry again..

read the book,toots. :D

lil cinder girl

November 3, 2007 at 6:38 pm (bored~, random)

elleww~~

its 1.30am rite now. and i’m still up. y? i is-ka-dong-dong. just can’t sleep. don’t feel like sleeping yet.

anyways, tadi i watched the third installment (??) of cinderella. the one where the stepmother stole the fairy godmother’s wand and turned back time (i know!! there’s a THIRD one??). it was ok for a cartoon. i mean, it made me forget how bored i really was. however, the annoyingly peppy & disgustingly upbeat ‘i believe’ theme of the cartoon was  close to pissing me off.. *grumbles*

cinderella.jpg

watching that cartoons suddenly makes me wonder ‘where did cinderella come from?’. you know, i’ve always had this idea that the story of the little cinder girl originates from France. like it was a fact. huh. i blame ‘Ever After’. the movie where drew barrymore and dougray scott were the main characters. *swoon* i love, love, LOVE that movie. :D

ever-after.jpg ……sigh.. so, anyway, i asked mizi if he knew where cinderella came from and he said “eeentaahh ahh..” so, i did what i always do when i’m in such a dilemma.

i googled it. :D

as it turns out, the oldest version of the soot-loving girl was from ancient Greco-Eygptian. now, i have no idea where or how old the version is (eyes getting heavy, brain is sloowly shutting down) but it u guys wanna know the full, dirty (……i swear, that was not on purpose.. :D) details you guys can check it out here.

i suddenly have a great urge to watch ‘ella enchanted’.. oooooh, specking of which, ’stardust’ LA-WA!! u should watch it. i recommend it… :)

charlie-cox.jpg ~charlie cox is H-A-W-T~ *drools* watched it with my brother yesterday. i managed to persuade B to watch it on monday. hehe. i once said i never really like cinderella. the cartoon really made me feel like cinder girl was weak and depended too much on her fairy godmother and the magic (not to mention the woodland creatures). but in the one that i watched today, i stand corrected. :D cinderella not only fight for her true love (with the help of the rodents, which i find disturbing.. ), she did it countless times (twice). with magic against her this time! you go, girl!!

i’m not sure what the moral of the cinderellas’ story are, but i think its: be the strongest and happiest person you can be, fight for what you believe in annnnd if you just so happen to nab a really cute guy in the process, good for you.

ok. NOW, im really for sleep.. hehehe.. salaam, babes.. :D
